So, lesson plans are due tomorrow at 4:00, but this is what mine look like at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. My feet are DRAGGING to be productive this week on school work. My mind has been wrapped up in finishing my Kindergarten Morning Work Packs (which I'll blog about at the bottom).
As you can see, my template, standards, and targets are just fine... but I'm missing a LOT of chunk!!!
Monday through Friday all ready to go!
Emailed to my curriculum specialist already.
After lessons are done, I can create my piles of copies I need to make.
These are usually copied during my lunch time or planning time.
Then...
I gather my centers activities for a laminating and cutting party.
One of the Kindergarten assistants went to Sam's for me last night to get me the bulk pack of laminate for just $20.
Walmart... $14 for 50 sheets
Sams... $20 for 200 sheets
Only problem is I don't have a membership to Sam's.
And this paper cutter is my BEST friend.
My boyfriend's mother gave me this. She is a retired art teacher and didn't need it anymore. I cannot express how much time this cutter has saved me since I started using it.
Phew.... what a long day. I feel like with teaching, lesson planning, laminating, and cutting, my day flew by really quickly, but at least I'm ready for next week!
I'm certain that the reason I was so slammed with work today was because I kept pushing it off all week. I have been so excited about creating a Kindergarten Morning Work set for my Kindergarten friends and my TPT friends!
Check them out.
You can grab one sample freebie from each of the sets if you click each link then click Download Preview once at the page!

I'm so glad to hear that someone else has lesson plans due on Fridays....mine are due at 8am. It makes for a rough Thursday evening, but I'm glad I don't have to think about it over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow - the many many things we have to do as teachers that isn't the actual teaching!
ReplyDeleteSo, you have to turn in your lesson plans each week? That seems like a lot! They are due the Friday before you teach them? I'm so surprised by this and so impressed that you were able to get ALL that done! You should be proud of yourself! The morning work packets look awesome - I can see why they were distracting you to be finished. Hope you can relax now and enjoy the weekend :)

Oh my goodness Jessica - I would hate to have to turn my plans in each week. Elementary teachers have enough to do already. Bless your heart! Your packs are very cute though. Have an awesome weekend.
